What sets Spruce Cafe apart from other bustling coffee spots is its blend of comfort food and warm service. The breakfast burritos, particularly the red pepper kale burrito, receive rave reviews for their rich flavors and satisfying portions. Patrons like Gaelin Shupe have expressed their desire to frequent the cafe daily for such tempting dishes. As Greg Davis notes, although the ambiance might not be the pinnacle of chic, the reliability of their offerings, including delicious pastries and comforting sandwiches, creates an inviting space for all.
While some customers have found the prices steep and the seating somewhat limited—comments from visitors like Alex Oxford highlight these points—it’s clear that the cafe’s charm lies in its cozy, unpretentious atmosphere. For those working nearby, as Kelly Wildermuth suggests, it remains preferable to the usual hotel coffee options, making it an ideal stop for a quick bite or an afternoon break.
Overall, Spruce Cafe - Boulder stands out with its great coffee, attentive staff, and homemade snacks that can brighten anyone's day. Whether you're seeking a lively workspace or a casual meetup, this cafe offers a taste of community, where every cup is filled with warmth and every bite resonates with homemade goodness.
“ The coffee was alright, but was overpriced in my opinion. Two medium lattes with a small tip came to $15. The medium size was about the size of a small Starbucks. The wifi wasn't working. There wasn't much int terms of seating amenities. But the staff were nice! I wouldn't go out of your way to check it out. But if you're staying at the hotel next door it's probably better than hotel coffee. ”
“ The burritos and scones are so amazing!! I love the red pepper kale burrito. I could eat breakfast here every day! Service is kind and fast. Nothing to complain about ”
“ The newest Cohen outpost, similar vibe/culture to the other locations,, familiar pastries, soups, and sandwiches, not the height of ambiance, but reliable....standouts are Spruce Juice (Spruce's been doing cold brew way longer that it's been cool), and the stellar breakfast burritos. ”
“ Great coffee, great people. I like to work here some mornings. The barista and I had a good laugh about his foam art mishap. ”
“ Great coffee, friendly atmosphere and homemade snacks and lunch items! Would definitely recommend this to friends and family! Also within walking distance of a bunch of Boulder office building. ”
“ It’s almost the best chicken salad sandwich I ever had. Mata tea latte is also very tasty. ”
“ Excellent place for a quick snack or breakfast. The pastries are to die for and the coffee is breathtaking. Also, the service is remarkable which they make you feel like your at home. ”
